AUSTRALIA - Work and Holiday Visas Available to Argentinean Nationals; Argentina and Brazil Added to e676 Qualifying Countries

February 1, 2012 - Starting February 29, Argentina will be the ninth country added to the list of countries eligible for the Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) Visa.  According to a release from the assistant secretary in the Education and Tourism Branch, holders of a passport from Argentina must possess tertiary qualifications or have completed at least two years of undergraduate university studies in order to qualify for the Work and Holiday visa.

Additionally, tourists from both Argentina and Brazil will be eligible to apply online for a visa to visit Australia beginning February 15.  The e676 electronic visa allows applicants to electronically track their tourist visas.  Nationals who do not have access to apply online for the e676 are still able to do so through the Australian Embassies in Brazil and Argentina.
